Everybody prepared with the weather that is coming our way? Last I heard Beaver County should expect 6-12 inches of snow and it’s supposed to come down fast from Sunday afternoon to Monday late morning. I’m off work Monday and luckily a lot of other people are off for MLK so hopefully that lets the townships get the roads clean. Walmart was crazy on Saturday. I guess everyone was stocking up on their bread, milk and toilet paper! LOL
Be safe everyone!!

Here in the South Central part of the state they're calling for anywhere between 2" - 10" inches with a wintry mix overnight, then rain. I'm sure it will be a mess come morning. Good thing lots of people are off of work and schools are closed for MLK Day.

I did see to that Wednesday the temperature is supposed to get up to 40 degrees with rain so hopefully the snow or at least most of it won’t be sticking around for too long

The coming snow finally got my neighbor to take down his plethora of xmas inflatable, lights, lighted decorations and signs.
My big snowblower is in the garage, all gassed up, tested and ready to go.

LOL! Just took all my decorations down this morning after an argument with the wife. She said don’t worry about them but I wasn’t about to leave them up! And you’re lucky, I can’t get my snowblower to start. Lucky I got a kid and a shovel!

Looks like we might luck out a little as a large gap in the storm is forming that should pass over western PA between 9:00pm and midnight.

hs, I couldn't get mine started at first either until I figured out to give the pull chord a good jerk at the end, then it started right up. Even though I try to put my snowblower away for the season with as emply a tank as I can get, I've been putting gas stabilizer in it. That seems to work.

Between 3 and 4 inches in the south hills as of 9:15. Looks like it’s stopping for now and will resume between 12:00 and 12:15.

We lucked out too. Only 2½" on the ground and as of this morning it's starting to melt. Mostly cloudy & 40° today, mostly sunny and 36° tomorrow. This mess should melt fairly fast.

Didn't measure, but I'd guess 7 to 9 inches of snow here, the heavy wet stuff, not the nice light, fluffy easy to shovel kind. The snowblower went through it with no problem. Roads are plowed and passable. There was a couple hour window with no snow last night. I think the plows got out to do a first pass on the roads then before the second wave arrived.

I think the south hills ended up around 8 inches as well. Roads were terrible this morning though not sure how they look now as I went to work.

City of Pgh just blocking off a number of streets that they can't get to...and not in the hilly places, either. Would have been nice if the last Mayor had spent some money repairing the trucks instead of wasting money on bike lanes.

It amazes me how every single year Western PA as a whole seems to be so unprepared for snow. It's not like it snowing is a surprise to us. Typically comes between December through March. Like it is a shock every year that we get snow and can't get roads cleaned
